Grand Arena is a fantasy gaming universe under MOKU, where I helped develop and define its visual language across a wide range of brand and game experiences. My work includes visual direction and style development, card art and design, merchandise, wallpapers, social media systems, and the visual identity of Moki Mayhem, a game within the Grand Arena universe.

BUILDING THE VISUAL IDENTITY:

To establish Grand Arena as its own world within the MOKU universe, I developed a visual identity that builds on MOKU’s playful character while introducing a more competitive, cosmic, and energetic personality. I defined the visual language across logo, color, typography, graphic elements, and art direction to create a cohesive system that could scale across the game, digital experiences, and supporting brand materials.

MOKI MAYHEM is a team-based auto-battler within the Grand Arena ecosystem, where teams of Mokis compete in fast-paced matches. Its visual identity builds upon the established Grand Arena system, using its color palette across the game’s logo, typography, and supporting visuals while introducing a more playful and energetic character. The main logo includes custom illustrated lettering, created to give Moki Mayhem its own personality while maintaining a cohesive visual connection to Grand Arena.
TRADING CARD DESIGN:

Cards are at the core of the Grand Arena experience, functioning as both collectible assets and the foundation of its fantasy competition. Players use their cards to build lineups and compete in daily contests, making the card system an important intersection of gameplay, identity, and collectibility.
The card system was balanced with character, information, and collectibility within a cohesive visual framework. The layouts and visual language were developed across multiple card types, including Champion cards, Full Art cards, and limited 1-of-1 cards. Each treatment gives the artwork and character a different level of emphasis while maintaining a consistent Grand Arena identity throughout the collection.
