RACHEL YOON


Rachel is a Korean-American Graphic Designer and Illustrator holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design.

She enjoys integrating illustrations into her designs as well as exploring tactile and unconventional elements to craft narratives that resonate with those in her surroundings. Her curiosity lies in exploring the intersection of design for children and adults, aiming to generate new possibilities for play!

Using my constant routine of having a cup of hot or iced matcha at least once a day, I recorded all of the letterforms that I discovered while also keeping track of how much I was craving matcha at thos moments. With that into consideration, I created a series of matcha tea bags that each consisted of a different letter as well as a shade of green that expressed the range between my high or low cravings of matcha (darkest shade to the lightest shade of green).
Letterforms found within the city:
In order to apply the rest of my information required, I incorporated each of them into the format of a tea bag - each having the preferred temperature of the water, the best time to drink it, as well as the expiration date.
