RACHEL YOON


Rachel is a Korean-American Graphic Designer and Illustrator holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design.

She enjoys integrating illustrations into her designs as well as exploring tactile and unconventional elements to craft narratives that resonate with those in her surroundings. Her curiosity lies in exploring the intersection of design for children and adults, aiming to generate new possibilities for play!

“#1 SWIMMER”: APPAREL GRAPHICS/MERCH DESIGN

A custom graphic designed for TikToker and influencer Justin Han (3.8M+ followers) to be featured on apparel merchandise and vinyl cut stickers. This project was created as a meaningful way to express gratitude to his fans for their support. Through a comprehensive design process, the #1 Swimmer character was carefully developed to be both visually engaging and representative of Justin’s brand, ensuring a unique and memorable final product. The text used in the graphics were provided by Justin, ensuring the final design stayed true to his brand.

DESIGN PROCESS:  The project began with a series of sketches inspired by a provided mood board. The goal was to blend the classic rubber hose cartoon aesthetic with a modern chibi-style design, creating a character that felt both nostalgic and fresh. Through iterative refinements, the design evolved to capture the essence of Justin Han’s vision while maintaining a playful and recognizable appeal.
